Forensics


Fall Semester:
Criminal Justice Introduces a study of the agencies and processes involved in the criminal justice system:  the legislature, the police, the prosecutor, the public defender, the courts, and corrections.  Includes an analysis of the roles and problems of the criminal justice system in a democratic society, with an emphasis upon inter-component relations and checks and balances.

Spring Semester:
Introduction to Forensics-Introduces the investigation of death from the edico-legal standpoint.  Discusses all aspects of an investigation from the initial findings to identification of the deceased and the determination of cause and time of death.  Includes the follow-up investigation and the preparation and presentation of evidence for the criminal trial.
